Dear Supporters:

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in my campaign for the Republican nomination in the Illinois 10th District. For Michelle and me, this has been an amazing experience. We have met people from all over the country who have shown us deep loyalty and friendship. From the start, this campaign was about the future of our beloved country in a time of critical importance. I strongly believe that our campaign's participation in this primary influenced the future of the 10th district in a very positive and meaningful way. In the next week or two, I plan to personally contact and offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered for and contributed to the campaign. In the meantime, I want everyone to know that you are very much in my thoughts.

As for me, I was back at my office this afternoon seeing patients. The campaign was a wonderful experience, but I am happy to return to the life of a simple country pediatrician. In the end - like most physicians - I am content to do my part for society one human being at a time.

Lastly, I had the opportunity to speak briefly with Robert Dold this morning at the Republican Unity Breakfast. Robert is a warm, intelligent, and thoughtful, person. I will do everything I can to help make sure he is the next congressman from the 10th District. I urge everyone who supported me during the primary to do likewise!

With the deepest respect and affection,

Arie Friedman, M.D.
